A WORD FROM JDOT: I KNOW HE WILL
I've dug some wells in my life that used to produce and don't anymore.
The biggest one is probably my own voice. There was a season, before PPA, where I could just talk my way through anything — a hard conversation, a tough sermon, a rough week of content. That well worked. I dug it deep, and it gave water.
It doesn't work the same way anymore. Some days the words don't come, no matter how hard I try to dig for them. And for a while, I read that as a personal failure — like I'd lost something I used to have, like the well drying up meant something was wrong with me specifically.
Cynical & Jaded made me actually name that instead of just living inside it quietly. Wonder made me go back and remember the actual times I was provided for — set back on my feet, not by trying harder, but by something I hadn't been crediting correctly. The Great I Am Can gave me the words to say what I'd been feeling but hadn't spoken: I can't do this the old way anymore. He Will asked me to trust the outcome without needing to see the mechanism — still the hardest position for me, if I'm honest. And Spirit of the Living God turned all of it into an actual invitation instead of a private hope: come do what only You can do with this voice, whatever shape it's in this week.
I'm not writing this from the other side of it, having figured out exactly how the ministry keeps its voice clear while mine keeps changing. I'm writing it from inside the not-knowing — still trusting the outcome without knowing the how.
Thank you for walking I KNOW HE WILL with me this week. Thank you for pulling your own receipts, wherever you pulled them. The well running dry was never proof something was wrong with you either.
Not by might, not by power. By His Spirit. Every time.
