The breakthrough this arc has been building toward isn't actually the point of the finale. This is: here we go again isn't the sentence you dread anymore.
The Last Misconception
Here's the mistake worth naming right at the end, because it's the one people are most likely to make once a season feels resolved: assuming the whole point of this journey was to finally reach a place where you'd never need to say "here we go again" again — as if repetition itself were the failure.
"Deja Vu" corrects that directly: "Hello Abba, You know it's me again, I know that we've been here before, I never seem to close the door. Anxieties well, they never left... Yeah I'm worn thin, but here we go again."
Not an Apology. A Pattern Named Honestly.
Notice what the song doesn't do — it doesn't apologize for coming back around again, and it doesn't pretend this is the last time it'll happen. It just names the repeat plainly, and lands on the same discovery every time: "It's not the end, cuz Your love will come back round again."
What Our Memory Verse Already Said
Lamentations 3:22-23 makes the exact same claim in older language: "Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." Notice the word: new. Not "still available if there's any left." New — as new the hundredth time as the first.
The Return Was Never the Failure
You weren't failing by needing this again. You were finding out that "again" was always part of how grace actually works — not a sign it's running thin, but proof it was never the kind of thing that could run out to begin with. "No matter where Your path should lead I believe, You're always holding onto me."
