The breakthrough this arc has been building toward isn't actually the point of the finale. This is: He wasn't arriving. He was already there.
The Last Misconception
Here's the mistake worth naming right at the end, because it's the one people are most likely to make once the story feels resolved: thinking the whole point of this journey was getting God to finally show up — as if His presence were the prize waiting at the far end of enough faith, enough waiting, enough trust.
"Everywhere at Once" corrects that directly: "God goes before, God goes behind, above below and here beside. There's nowhere He will hide His face. He's present with me all my days." And then, even more plainly: "Omnipresent, infinite and boundless, yet intimate and close. The God who's always there — everywhere at once."
The Depths, Not Just the Heights
The central verse behind this whole theme, Psalm 139:7-8, asks the question directly: "Where can I go from Your Spirit? Where can I flee from Your presence? If I go up to the heavens, You are there; if I make my bed in the depths, You are there."
Notice what's paired together — the heights and the depths, both. Not just the mountaintop, victorious seasons. The depths, too. The verse isn't describing a God who shows up once things improve. It's describing a God whose presence was never contingent on the storm ending first.
What Was True the Whole Time
The storm was never proof of absence. It was one more place He'd already gone ahead of you into. You weren't waiting for Him to show up. You were finding out, the whole time, that He never left.
