Jeremiah 17:7-8 — This Week's Memory Verse
"Blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD... They will be like a tree planted by the water. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit."
Notice what the verse doesn't promise: it doesn't promise the heat won't come. It doesn't promise there won't be a drought. What it promises is a tree that keeps its leaves green anyway — not because the tree is strong, but because of where it's planted.
That's the whole arc of NEVER WOULD'VE KNOWN in one image. The noise still comes. The wait still happens. But something planted that deep doesn't fear the heat the way it used to, because the roots were never the tree's own doing to begin with.
Say this verse out loud this week — not as information you know, but as the operating reality underneath whatever heat you're currently standing in.
