What if the Jesus you've been living with is actually a version of Him — and not the real thing?
That's not a crisis. That's an invitation.
We Are Compass Worship opens the arc with a prayer that's deceptively simple and genuinely costly: Reintroduce me to You. Not introduce — reintroduce. Which means something has been there before. An image, a belief, a relationship of some kind. But somewhere along the way, it got ordinary. Expected. Too small.
"God, I made You ordinary / Expected less of all Your glory / I was blind to all the little things."
This is THE HAND-ME-DOWN — the position where the arc begins. Not with the encounter, not with the unraveling, but with the honest admission that the Jesus you've been carrying might not be the whole picture.
Most of us arrive at faith through someone else's description of Jesus. A parent, a church, a tradition, a set of rules. And those descriptions aren't always wrong — but they're always incomplete. Because no one can hand you a person. You can only be introduced.
"Change my misconception to Your truth."
That's the whole ask of Position 1. Not more information. Not better theology. An actual meeting with the actual Jesus — who turns out to be more than what you were told.
The arc starts here. With the question you're brave enough to ask:
What if I don't know You as well as I think I do?
