This week's experiential activity is simple. And harder than it sounds.
Write the declaration you've been holding back.
Not a prayer. Not a journal entry. A declaration — written as if you're saying it to someone who needs to hear it.
Here's how:
Think of one person in your life who doesn't know what you know about God. Someone you've been keeping your faith mostly private around. Someone who is carrying something that the name of Jesus could speak directly into.
Write them a letter.
Not to send yet — unless you're ready. Just to write. Say the thing you've been holding back. Say it the way you'd say it if fear wasn't in the room. Tell them what God has done in your life. Tell them what you know about the name. Tell them what you'd want them to have if the silence ended today.
Then ask yourself: what would it take to actually say this out loud?
Set a date. Name a moment. Make the declaration specific enough that you'll know when you've done it.
The silence is over. Start with the letter.
