The Valley List: An Activity for This Week

The Valley List: An Activity for This Week

This week's I KNOW SOMEBODY arc is built to be experienced, not just read or watched. Here's an activity for Position 3, THE HALLELUJAH, that turns today's teaching into something you can hold in your hands.

The Valley List

Grab a piece of paper and draw a line down the middle.

On the left side, write down the mountain that hasn't moved. The hard thing that's still the hard thing. Be honest — this isn't the place to soften it or add a hopeful spin. If it's a diagnosis, write the diagnosis. If it's a person who's gone, write their name.

Not How It Gets Fixed

On the right side, resist the urge to write how it's going to get fixed. That's not what this column is for. Instead, write where you've seen Him in it — while it was still hard. One moment. One person who showed up. One verse that landed. One morning you got through that you didn't think you would.

You may only find one thing. That's enough.

I Can Still...

At the bottom of the page, write three words: "I can still..." — and finish the sentence. I can still trust You. I can still praise You. I can still get up tomorrow. Whatever's true for you.

Then read it out loud. That's what today's song means by a hallelujah in the hard things. Not pretending the left column isn't there. Saying it anyway, because the right column is real too.

Do This Along With Us

If you're catching up on this week's arc, Chapters 1 and 2 are linked below. Once you've finished your list, post it to your Story and tag us — or just comment with how you finished the sentence.
