Every week on The JDOT Five comes with a challenge — small, specific, and doable, meant to move a theme from "nice idea" into something you actually practice.
This Week: Bury One Thing
This week's challenge is direct: name one specific habit, attachment, or pattern that belongs to the old man — not a vague "do better" resolution, one real, specific thing. Then tell at least one person about it this week.
Why Specificity Matters
The turn doesn't start with turning toward something vague. It starts with turning away from something specific. A general intention to "do better" rarely survives contact with a hard week. A named, specific thing — spoken out loud to someone else — usually does.
How This Week Works
We'll check in on this challenge twice more this week — once midweek, once as we close out the theme on Saturday. Name it today, if you can, out loud. That's the whole starting point.
