This Week's Memory Verse: Jeremiah 32:17

This Week's Memory Verse: Jeremiah 32:17

This week's memory verse: Jeremiah 32:17.

\"Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.\"

This verse comes from an unlikely place — Jeremiah, standing in a besieged city, land about to be handed over to an invading army, and God tells him to buy a field anyway. A field in a country about to fall. That's the setting for \"nothing is too hard for you\" — not a season of ease, but a moment that looked, by every visible measure, like the worst possible time to trust God with something big.

Jeremiah's prayer starts with an honest confession: he calls God Sovereign LORD, then immediately recounts what he already knows — the power that made the heavens and the earth. He's not discovering something new about God. He's reminding himself of something he already believed, because his circumstances were tempting him to forget it.

That's this whole theme in one verse. The mess doesn't have to change first. The remembering comes first — and the remembering is what makes room for the \"nothing is too hard\" to actually reach the size of what you're carrying.

Say it out loud today, in the middle of whatever mess you're in: \"Nothing is too hard for You.\" Not once it's resolved. Now.
