The hardest part for me has always been the word friend.
Servant — I understand. I know what that relationship looks like. Do the work, fulfill the assignment, don't overstep.
But friend? Friend assumes He actually wants me around. Not because I'm useful. Because He likes me.
John 15:15 keeps dismantling things in me that I thought were settled. Every time I read it I find another layer of the old system still running underneath.

This is the position where meeting Jesus isn't enough. You've met Him — now you have to let the old image go. Let the performance-based identity come apart. Let grace run deep into the places you've been keeping it out.
"I am chosen. Not forsaken."
The bridge is doing real work. It's not celebrating something that feels solid. It's reaching toward something that's still settling.
