Sometimes the hardest part of trusting God again isn't God. It's the guard you put up after someone who claimed His name let you down.
"My Heart" by Psalms ELVN and Samantha Stone names that directly. This isn't a song about doubting God's goodness — it's a song about the very real, very human caution that builds up after you've been hurt by people who said they loved you in His name and didn't.
This is WHO I ALLOW IN. The position most worship music skips past. But you can't move toward surrender with a heart you haven't admitted is guarded.
If this one stings a little, that's the song doing its job.
Has someone who claimed to speak for God ever left you more guarded instead of more trusting? What did it change about how you let people in?
