NOTHING WASTED — homepage teaser

This week's journey

Have you ever wondered if the faithful, unseen, hard stuff actually counts?

Most of us quietly measure our faithfulness by what we can see — and assume the rest just disappears.

This week's arc moves from a familiar table that becomes a gift, through a family that carries you when you can't sing, to a cross carried all the way home.

Not more effort. A promise.

NOTHING WASTED is available now. Not one splinter.

This week's Five:

Table Made For Us — Jonathan Turner & Jenn Chenoweth

POSITION 1 — THE GIFT

Table Made For Us | Jonathan Turner & Jenn Chenoweth

Every arc that ends with "nothing wasted" has to start with what He gave — not what we give. And for most of us, the place we've stopped noticing that gift is the most familiar place of all: the table. "Our debt would be paid for by His blood and righteousness — much more than we could afford." Before anyone can carry anything, they have to receive something.

POSITION 2 — THE REASON

halle-lujah | Tenroc & nobigdyl.

THE GIFT only means something once you realize what it saved you from. This track supplies that honesty — "I should've been dead and gone, so I just gotta give You thanks." Not the gratitude of an upgrade. The gratitude of a rescue. "Reason why I'm living is 'cause You died."

POSITION 3 — THE PRESENCE

The Lord Is Here | Tiffany Hudson

Gratitude looks back at the cross. This track discovers the One on the cross isn't in the past tense — "He's risen and He reigns. We welcome You, King of Glory." And then it looks around the room and finds a family: "We are His people bought with a price."

POSITION 4 — THE CARRIED

A family only matters when you need it. This track stops in the middle of a celebration to speak to the person who can't sing — "as the family all around you lifts your arms up when you can't." Not try harder. Be carried.

POSITION 5 — THE FINISH

A person who's received the gift, thanked Him honestly, welcomed Him, and been carried by His people doesn't just sit at the table. They pick up a cross and carry it home. "Splinters on my hands from carrying my cross" — and at the finish, "I'll know that nothing went to waste." This is the song the whole theme takes its name from.
