FOUND BY GRACE is five songs.
But it's not five random grace songs dropped into a playlist.
It's a sequence. And the sequence is everything.
Here's why the order matters:
Song 1 — THE WANDERING has to come first because you cannot be found without first being honest about being lost. Not the dramatic version. The slow drift. The distance that stopped feeling like distance. The arc starts before the return — because that's where grace actually starts.
Song 2 — THE FINDING is where grace arrives. Nail-scarred hands reach in. The shame gets wiped. The prodigal becomes the son. But it only lands with full weight because Song 1 named the wandering honestly first. You can't receive the finding if you skipped the wandering.
Song 3 — THE COST is the move most playlists skip. The joy of the finding is real — but a grace received without reckoning with what it cost becomes something thinner over time. Song 3 holds you at the cross before you move on. Accused in absence of wrong. Died in my place. The scandal has to land here — because it's what makes everything that comes next real.
Song 4 — THE WITNESS is what the cost produces. A person who has stood in the full weight of what their finding required cannot stay quiet about the One who made it possible. "Let me tell you 'bout my Jesus" is not a ministry strategy. It's the overflow of Songs 1, 2, and 3 landing in a person who can't hold it anymore.
Song 5 — THE ONGOING is where the arc lands — and it's not where you'd expect. Not the moment of the finding. Not the cross. Here. This morning. "Grace and mercy, they just keep on going." The miracle didn't stop at the finding. It keeps going every morning after.
That's why the order matters.
THE WANDERING → THE FINDING → THE COST → THE WITNESS → THE ONGOING
Each position needs what came before it. Skip one and what follows is shallower for it.
This is not a playlist.
It's a journey.
