Every week The JDOT Five starts with songs. I bring them in, sit with them, and ask — is there a journey here? Is there an arc? Is there something these songs are trying to say together that none of them can say alone?
This week — I had eight songs on the table.
Eight.
And what kept emerging from the pile wasn't a random collection of grace songs. It was a sequence. A movement. Someone goes out. Grace comes after them. The cost lands. They can't stay quiet. And then they wake up the next morning and it's still going.
THE WANDERING → THE FINDING → THE COST → THE WITNESS → THE ONGOING.
That's not a playlist. That's a journey.
And the memory verse — Ephesians 2:8 — locked the whole thing. Not from yourselves. That's the spine of the arc. Grace doesn't require you to take the first step. It takes the first step toward you.
Five songs. One arc. FOUND BY GRACE.
That's how this week came together.
